Regarding the Agriculture program, AGRAJATTRA implemented the agriculture program in-depth manner. But also has little bit experience for horticulture, livestock and fishery program implementation in the small scale context. Under the agriculture program, AGRAJATTRA distributed horticulture cultivation seeds to the farmer level household. For food security, AGRAJATTA has huge experience for implementing of food security and livelihood program. Under this program AGRAJATTAR has (i) distributed food to the vulnerable people, (ii) provide subsistence allowance of elderly and women lead family, (iii) enhance capacity of people through provide skill development training for livelihood development and poverty reduction in their lives, (iv) Implement cash for work supports program, (v) capital support to the most vulnerable people for operation of livelihood options, (vi) skill development of women/ adolescent girls related to RGM sector’s products production. AGRAJATTRA implemented VGD-Vulnerable Group Development program where 3500 ultra-poor people directly involved different Life skills, Livelihood & Income generating activities at CTG & Cox’s bazar District.
AGRAJATTRA leverages its extensive expertise in agricultural production and food security to support vulnerable populations in Ramu and Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazilas of Cox’s Bazar district. The program focuses on enhancing livelihoods and food security through interventions in three key agricultural subsectors:
- Livestock and Poultry Rearing
- Fishery/Fish Culture
- Horticulture Production
- Burme Composte production.
To achieve these goals, AGRAJATTRA implements the following interventions:
- Skill Development Training: Provides training to producers and farmers in cow rearing, beef fattening, poultry rearing, horticulture farming, and fish culture.
- Input Provision: Supplies essential inputs for horticulture production, including seeds, organic fertilizers, and seed bed preparation on a seasonal basis.
- Fingerling Distribution: Offers fingerlings to support and enhance fish culture activities.
- Awareness-Raising: Conducts sessions to increase knowledge about sustainable farming practices and food production.
Additionally, AGRAJATTRA operates an agro firm as an income-generating activity. This business-focused initiative includes:
