AGRAJATTRA is a women-led, non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1998, working across humanitarian and development contexts in Bangladesh, with a strong operational presence in Cox’s Bazar. The organization is committed to building an inclusive and just society through women’s empowerment, child protection, rights-based development, and resilient community systems.

While AGRAJATTRA implements multi-sectoral programming—including education, livelihoods, food security, WASH, health, and humanitarian response—Protection of Human Rights, particularly Child Protection (CP), Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), constitutes a core pillar of its work. Over the past two decades, AGRAJATTRA has implemented large-scale CP and GBV interventions for Rohingya refugees and host communities, aligned with international protection standards and national coordination mechanisms.

AGRAJATTRA has extensive experience in child protection case management, community-based child protection mechanisms, adolescent programming, caregiver and positive parenting interventions, structured and non-structured MHPSS, and survivor-centered GBV response, working in partnership with UN agencies, international NGOs, and government authorities. The organization currently employs over 430 staff, including a dedicated cadre of trained protection professionals operating in camps and host communities across Cox’s Bazar.

With strong safeguarding systems, accountability mechanisms, and local acceptance, AGRAJATTRA is a trusted local partner capable of delivering quality, child-centered, and survivor-focused protection programming at scale.
